Advantages and Disadvantages of Spiral Fin Tubes

Date:2021-10-21

Spiral finned tubes are mainly used in hot air heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, dehumidification, drying and other occupations. It is suitable for heating air by steam (electricity) or high temperature water (heat-conducting oil) and cooling air by salt water or condensate (Freon).

The finned tube can hold a stable low value in a large temperature change plan. The whole finned tube has high heat transfer coefficient, excellent resistance to sudden temperature change and vibration during use, large heat transfer area per unit length, strong heat transfer capability, reliable structure and long service life; the finned surface is smooth, wrinkle-free, not easy to scale, easy to clean and remove surface water, low moving resistance, and can maintain excellent heat transfer function for a long time. Stainless steel finned tube has high strength, low movement loss, strong anti-corrosion function, not easily deformed under long-term hot and cold working conditions, long service life, etc. During operation, stainless steel finned tubes can be divided into string tubes (casing), tension coiled finned tubes, inlaid tubes, angle rolled finned tubes, cast finned tubes and welded finned tubes, where welding is divided into high frequency welded finned tubes and submerged arc welded finned tubes. Stainless steel finned tubes have good heat dissipation and high thermal power, and have a longer service life in use. In the process, its finned tube consists of fins coiled directly on the surface of the heating tube to achieve heat dissipation effect.

High heat transfer efficiency, reliable structure and long service life; smooth fin appearance, no wrinkles, not easy to scale, easy to clean and remove stagnant water, low resistance to movement, and can maintain excellent heat transfer function for a long time. The stainless steel finned tube has the characteristics of high strength, low activity loss, strong anti-corrosion function, not easy to deformation and long service life under long-term hot and cold working conditions. The overall rolled up fins are smooth, fringed and easy to clean. In heating and air conditioning projects, the condensate on the outer surface of the fins is easily washed away when wet and cold, and dust and scale are not easily formed in dry heating and other heat exchange occasions.

The manufacturing process of stainless steel finned tubes: In stainless steel finned tubes, the choice of stainless steel will bring some advantages, such as beautiful and excellent corrosion resistance. In addition, the manufacturing process can be simplified if compared to finned tubes made of carbon steel, as the process or process of external painting can be eliminated.
